Pentamorph

Pentamorph

Pentamorph, 15"d x 5.5"h, bronze, 2001

Pentamorph is a bronze sculpture installed within a simulated Martian landscape of volcanic rock and sand.  Its form displays polymorphic properties and aspects of animal mimicry and camouflage.  Significant concerns of this project include: the design of organic systems, the extension of human presence to outer space, and the quandary of extraterrestrial life and its relation to life on Earth.
